Thigh Lift
Having nice, shapely legs is one of the surest signs of youth and vitality. Through the aging process or after significant weight loss, the thighs can lose their elegant appearance, contributing to reduced self-esteem and physical discomfort, such as chafing.
A thigh lift, also known as a thighplasty, is a procedure whereby excess fat and skin in the thighs is effectively eliminated, with the remaining skin sculpted around the muscle of the leg to achieve natural, graceful lines. With a thigh lift, it’s a matter of determining the ratio of skin to fat, and which needs to be removed or excised. In some cases, it may only be necessary to remove skin that has become excessive because of a loss of volume underneath it, as in weight loss. Other times, a thigh lift may involve the removal of fat in addition to skin.
When it comes to a thigh lift, there are several areas of application. Certain patients may require a rear or posterior thigh lift, which will handle the back of the thighs when skin or fat has become excessive. Other patients may require an outer thigh lift if they have accumulated too much tissue in that area. Additionally, an inner thigh lift (medial thigh lift) may be necessary to remove excess skin or fat that is directly beneath the pubic area.

A round, voluminous butt is an enviable quality. For many women, this comes along with their genetic makeup. For those whose buttocks appears saggy due to aging, weight loss or genetics, there is an effective method of correction.
A butt lift is a surgical procedure that improves the size and shape of the buttocks, restoring a full, womanly figure. It is commonly done in conjunction with other procedures as part of a lower body lift, such as a thigh lift, abdominoplasty or labiaplasty. It may also be done on its own.
Much like an abdominoplasty or thigh lift, a butt lift involves the removal of excess skin and fat from the above buttocks. Doing so helps to elevate the position of the buttocks. Once this is done, the remaining skin can then be pulled snugly over the muscles to create a toned appearance without cellulite or wrinkles.
Many of Dr. Brenner’s patients choose to combine procedures such as a tummy tuck, thigh lift, and butt lift as part of a Mommy Makeover, which can restore pre-pregnancy contours and rejuvenate the entire mid- and lower-body.
Fat Transfer to Buttocks
While a butt lift will do wonders towards creating a toned butt, it unfortunately will not add volume. For that reason, a fat transfer is available when receiving a butt lift from Dr. Brenner. This procedure will not only serve to tone the butt, it will also increase the volume to give a more bubbly shape.
In a fat transfer, fat is taken from areas of the body that do not require it. This can include the abdomen, flanks, hips, lower back or thighs. Once this fat is obtained, it is washed and separated through a specialized process. Once purified, the fat is then injected into the butt in a precise, highly focused manner to achieve evenness and a natural appearance.
It is notable that the body will absorb some of this fat. However, after three months have passed, anything that has not absorbed will likely be there permanently.
FAQ
Who is a good candidate for a thigh lift or butt lift?
Ideal candidates are individuals with excess skin or sagging in the thighs or buttocks due to aging, weight loss, or genetics. Patients should be in good overall health, maintain a stable weight, and have realistic expectations about the results.
How long does it take to recover from a thigh or butt lift?
Recovery typically ranges from 2 to 6 weeks, depending on the procedure’s extent. Most patients can return to light activities within 1–2 weeks, while strenuous exercise should be avoided for 4–6 weeks to allow proper healing.
Will there be visible scars after surgery?
Yes, all thigh and butt lift procedures result in some scarring, but Dr. Brenner places incisions strategically to minimize visibility. Over time, scars usually fade and can often be hidden under clothing or swimwear.
Can a thigh or butt lift be combined with other procedures?
Absolutely. Many patients opt for a Mommy Makeover or other body contouring procedures, combining a thigh lift, butt lift, and tummy tuck to achieve a more comprehensive transformation in a single surgery.
How long do the results last?
The results of a thigh or butt lift are generally long-lasting, especially when paired with a stable weight and healthy lifestyle. While aging and gravity continue to affect the body, the overall contour improvements are permanent.
Are there non-surgical alternatives to a thigh or butt lift?
Non-surgical options such as fat reduction treatments or skin-tightening procedures exist, but they cannot remove excess skin as effectively as surgery. Patients with significant sagging or loose skin typically achieve the best results with surgical lifts.
What can I expect during a consultation with Dr. Brenner?
During your consultation, Dr. Brenner will evaluate your anatomy, discuss your goals, and recommend the most effective procedures for your body type. He will also review the recovery process and answer any questions to ensure you are fully informed before surgery.
Is liposuction always required with a thigh or butt lift?
Not always. Liposuction may be recommended to remove stubborn fat deposits in addition to skin removal, depending on your body composition and desired outcome. Dr. Brenner customizes each procedure to achieve natural, balanced results.
